How do you install the 64 bit version of Vista?

I'm tired, bored, sad and a bit *****d off atm, so I'll get to the point.
I've got and installed Vista Home Premium, went to "system" and it says "system type: 32 bit operating system" why is it not saying 64?
I have an e6600 and it says "32- and 64- bit" in the top left hand corner of the box. I've tried going through the installer again, but it says nothing about installing the 64 bit version. *sigh*
And they say its meant to be easy

the disc is either 32 or 64bit

you'll have to get a 64bit disc
