As title, a SIMPLE step by step guide to allow me to install vista on the same drive as XP, and have the option to dual boot, don't want to muck it up as i NEED this xp install to stay stable
ahh I see, how does one create a partition without formatting ? Just use windows drive manager thingy ?, I did this once, also used a 3rd party software and it Fubared the partition and ruined it, again a simple fool proof way would b awesome
You need to create a new partition on your hard disk. There are a few applications that will let you do this without formatting your drive e.g PartitionMagic by Symantec or a free one such as Gparted.
