How do you link to autotrader adverts?

I'm trying to link to the following car:-

2001 BMW 5 SERIES 530i Sport 4dr Saloon,
52,000 miles, Y reg, FBMWSH, extended BMW warranty to end May06, Manual, Topaz Blue, Grey leather, Full M-Tech sports interior, m/f steering wheel, dual climate, cruise control, f/r parking sensors, 5 new tyres, immaculate throughout, 6 CD changer, heated seats, auto dip mirror, rain sensor wipers, Nokia bluetooth, taxed 04/06, MOT 10/06, ex demo plus one former keeper, company car forces sale. £10,550. ono

but all I get is this:-

What am I doing wrong?

If you're using firefox, right-click and copy the top url.

Can someone else try this to verify that's not just viewable because it's in my cache please?

Bah, only seems to work when you paste it into the address bar from within the autotrader website.

Open the link to the car you want to link to. From the popup window right click, best place is the description part of the car. Select Properties.

From the dialog box that appears, copy all of the text in the Address URL bit, you'll have to drag the selection down a little as there's a lot of text there.

I can't believe it was that simple!

I can't tell you how many months I've just put up with link the picture and copying the text!

Or - Just press Ctrl + N , which opens the advert up and gives you the direct link in the address bar.

Yeah, and a hell of a lot of car for £10k! I'm half expecting Fox to post this afternoon that he's just bought it!

Jeez thats stunning - absolutely lovely car.

Only thing that would be off is the low mileage meaning its £2k more than it would be with twice that on it

Topaz Blue and Cream leather is just the right colour combination as well.
