I rush home with my discs then pop them in the player, stick on my headphones. The next few minutes are spend bopping to the beat and usually picking off the stickers from the shop trying not to leave glue behind on the cover (HMV are the worst with about 5 stickers per CD). Then I turn off the lights, draw the blind and collapse on the floor and listen....

How do you listen to yours!? :D

If I buy CDs it is normally 3 or 4 at a time and then I'll put on the one that appeals to me most when I next have the hour or so free to listen to it and then work my way through them like that. I'll probably listen to them a couple more times as background music and then decide which songs I like enough to put on my playlist. Thats just generally how it happens but isn't a rigid plan or anything like that.

Since I rarely buy CDs, I'll listen through once whilst doing some tidying or something, and try not to judge it on the one listen. I'll usually put an album on three or four times on repeat before I decide whether it's any good. Often it'll then go back in the case and sit there for months gathering dust before I give it another try. If I like it I'll listen again but more carefully.

Most CDs will go on the CD player straight away, and then onto the iPod if I know I'll immediately want more of a listen.

Tool's new record though will need a lot more preparation. Bottle of wine, candles, and the 5.1 system cranked to 11 :)

Usually bannish the kids to the garden, connect my CD player to my amp and let it run.
I almost always find the tracks that didnt grab my whilst playing are the ones that stick in my head and make me listen again :D

I'll crank it from start to finish, and try and do the lot in one sitting if I can as a lot of albums are arranged with that in mind (unless you like punk in which case albums are arranged/written/performed with nothing more than 3 chords in mind ;)).

lool

i generally take it home - dust off the stack (age of the pc and all) and let em rip for a bit - unless its an album were i have no idea whats coming - then its headphones in the dark mode

Listen to a couple of tracks on the hi-fi and then get distracted or bored and stick winamp on, usually. The last 3 albums I've bought I don't think I've listened to all the tracks yet.

Hmm, home then straight into the CD player. Listen to it while doing homework or w/e. Unless im bored then ill just sit and listen to it. Then ripped to the comp and put on the pod and normally listen to the CD another couple of times before I put it on the shelf and listen to it when i cba to turn comp on to listen to it.
