how do you lock the icons on your desktop?

I mean everytime you reinstall your card drivers & the Icons end up all over the place. I am sure there is some nifty app someone can recommend?

If on your on XP, don't you just right click on desktop, Arrange Icons By->Align to Grid ?

Never been a problem for me and I would be reluctant to install a 3rd party app to do something that is normally easily done in Windows.

I believe you can do it on PowerStrip.

Ultramon has an option for saving your desktop Icon layout, bit of a waste without multiple monitors though.

You can always take a screenshot and spend 5mins redoing it by hand rather than buy some software, although a nifty freeware app would obviously be better.

As for Align to grid that dont work.
