I'm currently using Rivatuner, however it's a pain to open the menu up.

I'd ideally prefer a seperate program that sits in my tray and has a slider function.

I dont think there is one iwth a slider function, I thought ATi Tool used to have a fan speed option but doesent seem to, I also use Riviatuner, SpeedFan should implement changing the speed of the GPU Fan though.

ATI Tray Tool does, but you still have to navigate the Menu to get to it. It's under overclocking options ....
I wonder if I can use ATi Tray Tools with an nVidia card? I'm using Rivatuner for the fan control and ATiTools, not Tray Tools for overclocking and there is currently no fan control in the options, menu or properties.

Sorry No. Didn't realize you had an Nvidia Card.

Rivatuner is only a couple of clicks....I had it set to 25% fan speed at windows startup with 60% for 3D applications.

Of course, this can mean that the fan ramps up when you are watching a video or something, which can get annoying, but it's the easiest way to use it.
