I need to create a memory dump from a BSOD for ESET.

Now i have done the following...
mem.jpg

This does not create a dump, although it should...

Anyone got any info on this?

Vista 64 SP1

Exactly, No file gets created :/

ESET are wanting me to send one to them, i bet they know its not possible!

Edit

I have also followed the guide thats on the MS forum on how to force Vista 64 to create one, but it doesnt work :/
Going by what i have read it looks like this is a Vista 64 and 4gb issue.

Why do you want to do a full dump? You're aware that will mean a 4GB dump file?

Almost all problems can be solved by just having a mini dump... which only dumps relevant parts of memory related to the crash.

Could be that there isn't enough disk space to create a full dump.

Hmm i wasnt aware of the dump being 4gb, but...

I have tried a mini dump as well (small memory dump) but again it still does not create a file :/

Long story short...

I had to remove 2gb of ram to get vista 64 to create a memory dump file :/

I done the small one, but for some reason it wasnt good enough for ESET and they wanted me to do the full one (2gb) and compress it (270mb).

What information is on the full one that the smaller one doesnt have?
