Given the media obsession with ensuring this name gets constant airtime, in particular the BBC who have a weekly quota to reference to the man so we all know his name, it baffles me why everybody is saying his name pretentiously wrong.

Garage

GA - RAAJ ('Oh darling, do put the aston martin in the gah raaaaaaj')
GA - RIDGE ('Yeah, chuck it in the ga rige mate, lol)

I propose we correct this mispronunciation with immediate effect.

Mc is pronounced Mac. :p

Not with the scottish people i've ever met its not.

I could full well be wrong, but I went to school with a kid who had the same name and it wasn't macilroy.

Maybe it's pronounced merrrkillroy, I just hate the way the Americans it like macolroy.

Also went to school with a kid called McGuiness and that wasn't Mackguiness. That was more merrrguiness.

Nah, Mc can quite easily be Mac

There are actually three pronunciations of 'Garage'

Ga-ridge (Common British)
Ga-raj (Posh British)
G'raaaaj (American)

The 'posh' English way of saying it at the US version of it are similar but not the same.
