how do you remove connectors?

ive just bought a load of connector replacements for all my psu cables, thought it would be a cool touch for modding out my case, but how do you get the old ones off? do i have to cut and replace them?
 
sata power, molex, pci-e 24 pin power etc, all the power cables that you get from a psu im modding, all came nasty red and dont look good in my all black n green case, with the sata power cable, can i turn the connectors the other way up, if you get my meaning?
