Hi I have had a go at making a dual boot computer with XP on the C drive and Vista on the D drive. As I start up the machine it stops at the boot manager screen so that I can choose which OS I want to use.
The big problem is that my NF7-S board is not supported in Vista and so there are some issues. I thought that I would just go back to XP and forget Vista for the time being. I formatted the D partition to get rid of vista but I am still left with the boot master screen. How do I get rid of the boot master screen without a format of the C drive?
Thanks for your help, PeterT.

If you boot from your XP Install CD and go into the Repair Console (Hit R at first screen) login to the administrator account as instructed and type 'FIXMBR'.

The program will then scan your hdd's for windows operating systems and then plonk them all into a new boot record. Of course, it will only detect the one O/S and hopefully the O/S selection screen won't appear anymore after you reboot.

Thanks to all that replied. I tried FIXMBR and that made no difference. Then I tried FIXBOOT and all my troubles were over!!
Cheers, PeterT.
