How do you search posts that are over a year old

Posts from that far back would have been deleted i would have thought when they do a tidy up.

Remarkably simple because I've just checked to find out, go to Advanced Search and then Find Posts from choose "A Year Ago" from the drop down menu and from the drop down menu next to it select "and older" and that should do it. No guarantees that what you want will not have been pruned even if it existed though.
