How do you secure your MBP Retina?

I've been on the phone to Apple and pointlessly ranted on for 10 mins knowing before I even dialled it would be a futile experience.

So I've got my lovely MBP with it's shiny Retina display but I - like many - didn't realise it comes without a slot for a Kensington lock. I work all over the place inc. abroad so thought I'd ask you lot how you're managing.

I don't like the 3rd party alternatives (like glueing things to the chassis or plastic trays clicking into air vents - and other stuff like that).

Can't believe Apple missed it off - also amazed it's never appeared on the MBA.

FileVault, strong password on wakeup, backup with Time Machine and insurance.

I don't tend to be in places where I worry someone is going to take it though. I don't think there's anything you can do, there's no Kensington lock and if you don't want to glue something to it (who would?!) then you're out of options. :(

Yeah I pretty much figured. I think despair landed me here with this thread.

You're lucky. In and around London I'm OK with leaving it unattended, even some places in Europe. But when I'm assigned to the Middle East it becomes difficult.

Guess the breeze block Tecra M5 is in for a few more trips yet. Dear old thing it is too.
