How do you set the Intel Core i7 950 L2 Cache in Windows 7

Hello!

Can anyone please tell me what is the correct setting for the below registry key for the amount of L2 Cache the Core i7 950 has???

Why would you want to add that manually, what difference would it make?

No difference at all because that registry setting is incredibly old when CPUs used to have external cache, it does nothing now and hasn't for many years.

Sorry I didn`t know this was no longer used. :eek:

I take it this registry setting was only useful if you had a old Pentium or Athlon CPU???

I never even realised you could specify the cache size, even in the old days.

Older than that, the last time I had a CPU with a cache daughter board was back in the 386/486SX days.
