Guys my Apple Watch is doing my head in as it keeps calling the emergency services (999)

How do I disable it from being byable to call the emergency services

I turned off “Hold side button” & “Fall Detection” & “ call After serious crash”
But it still goes to the SOS screen when you hold the side button in

At the moment am feeling this Apple Watch is far worst then useless and I can’t even wear it without worrying it going phone 999 all the time

How can apple get away with releasing something that does this

What seems to be happening is the edge of my bike gloves is holding the side button in and then am guessing the sleeve of my coat that covers the Watch is then pressing on the screen making it call 999

Change it from left handed to right handed (or vice versa) in settings and turn the watch the other way round on your wrist so the buttons are on the other side. Job jobbed.
I was thinking of doing this, just a bit to worried to wear it now as it already phoned them twice today :o

I can see me getting into trouble if it does it again

I’ve just tested this for you and can confirm the following stops it auto dialing…

Turn off ‘Hold side button to dial’

Then simply lock the watch (slide up and press the water drop)

Hey presto, problem solved.

If you want to unlock, simply hold the Digital Crown in.
Much thanks for this

I give it a go later...

No worries at all. I’d imagine this way the only issue would be if your glove holds the crown button down for long enough to unlock it, then does likewise with the side button. I’d think that would be mighty unlucky for that to happen though!
Really just need something as simple as being able to disable the side button from showing the SOS screen
But i don't know if there a way to do this , Maybe there a hack somewhere
