How do you stress test your CPU when overclocking?

Hey guys,

I am currently in the process of overclocking my 7600K, and am curious as to what everyone is using to test for stability? Is Prime 95 still the go to tool, or is there something else I should be looking at?

Mixture of Prime, Realbench and XTU. If gaming and not a lot else, Prime without AVX instruction is also fine.

when i am overclocking and just want to fast test. realbench, cinebench,

aida64 for a few hours after finding what i want to keep.

Prime for 20mins and then game.

Nothing else is needed and just a waste of your life, and the power and CPU life span...but your time is more important.

Tbh I've long ditched the days of strenuously trying to make the CPU fall over, it's not needed unless your doing something mission critical with your workstation / PC

64man BFV does the trick for load testing to a reasonable degree, few runs of 3Dmark firestrike extreme and heavy load multitasking. If gaming with recent quality tittles can't make it die a death there's not much other than Prime and IBT that will.

Fallout 4 used to test my overclock quite nicely, stange as it seems. that and prime 95 small FFT
