Hi all,

Im getting a Noctua NH-U12F heatsink and fan and just wondering how do you tell which way to install that it blows before assembling it :)

Is it possible?

I don't think that's what he's asking.

The fan with the noctua blows towards the side with the plastic "arm" and logo on it, so you want to install it with that facing into the heatsink.

(Which you can tell by the curviture of the fan blades)

Read the manual. It has pictures and everything. :D

cheers split - cant understand why they would face it towards the psu like that

As far as that image looks, it looks like the Noctua won't actually fit in any other position with that motherboard other wise it would be touching (or might not even fit against) the PSU.

I don't think so. That looks like an Asaka Zen case and, if so, the Noctua will go either way round (but rather close to the PSU and kinda blocking it's intake.

The guy who did the review (mishima) changed the orientation here and fitted 2 fans.
The pics don't show though that was in that post :(

Won't the fan have a arrow on it on 1 of it's sides showing the direction of flow, every single fans I've ever seen has had an arrow.
