How do you test GPU stability?

So started playing with overclocking my 770GTX yesterday, I would run Kombustor for 10-20 mins (no artifacts etc), 3 runs of 3D Mark Fire Strike but then the graphics driver would crash on Unigine Heaven 4

Other times I could run everything and then randomly Unigine Heaven 4 or 3D Mark would crash.

Would you call running a full benchmark on Unigine Heaven 4 a couple of times "stable"?

Copy my settings. (ignore memory usage) OCCT is great for sniffing out an unstable core. It will detect errors.

I like to run Heaven on a loop for an hour (or till I am bored) and then just game. If it crashes, I knock the OC down by 13Mhz and try gaming again.

to an extent, if it crashes it's of course not stable. However, for me I only care that it's stable in things that I do - so if I want to run benchmark programs then it needs to not crash in them to be stable in my eyes. Stress testing programs are not something I run in day to day life so I don't care if my machine is stable in them or not. Even one crash a year in things I actually do like playing games would be too much for me, but other people might be willing to accept that for being able to push their OC a tiny bit higher.
