How do you test RAM OC speed?

Ok. Will have to check again but IIRC when I looked last night I'm sure CPU Z memory tab showed 800MHz. This is the 1600MHz Samsung green RAM

800mhz is showing correctly then for DDR you double this value to find frequency. So its running at 1600mhz then.

Cheers peeps. For those in the know easy. For the poor blighters like me impossible! But heegh, now I know. Thanks for imparting your knowledge.

So to me that would suggest my RAM is not OC'd. It stays at 800MHz even with prime 95 running. The RAM shows 11-11-11-28

RAM speed doesn't go up and down like the processor speed can.

Whatever it says on the memory tab in CPU-Z is what it's running at (after you've doubled it).

1600MHz, 11-11-11-28 are the standard settings for the Samsung Green.

Have you actually changed settings in the BIOS to overclock the RAM?

I personally haven't. This is an OCUK pre built machine with OC level 4. (25% CPU OC and maximum attainable RAM speed). Hence my reason for purchasing Samsung green RAM.

What is the rest of your system??? Maybe 1600mhz is the best effective speed for your system is it SB Based???
