How do you turn off the xbox 360 controller rumble or change the intensity of it? Cheers

Usually in game options or go into Personal Settings and disable vibration. Personal Settings is in the guide window.

another thing - a bit random, but can the quick charge kit, charge up rechargeable batteries not made by xbox? Cheers

I very much doubt it, its designed so that the battery pack slots straight in.

Just get a normal battery charger, they are about the same price, but it means you can charge normal batteries too
