will be selling my old rig to a cousin and i no longer want folding on it, how do you fully un-install it, i have went into reg edit and deleted the service, stopped the service in services.msc and deleted the folding folder, do i need to do anything else to get rid off it, also my electricity bill has more than doubled for the past few months and my dad thinks something fishy is going on so i may also have to stop folding, to be honest it aint worth it, paying so much money when really i get nothing back, that money could be well spent on a dell 30 inch

Well the best way to uninstall it is now gone. Ideally, you'd have ran the client with -configonly and had it remove its own service and associated registry bits. You would then have just deleted the contents of your FAH folder and called it a day.

However, I suppose you've done essentially that now so it should be completely gone.

I'm sorrry to see you go. Though I do feel like I get something back from DC you're still welcome aroun d these here parts anytime. :)

Though I'm still interested in how the electricity bill has doubled - I've pretty much doubled the number of machines I'm running (most of which are 24/7) and have only noticed maybe up to an extra 40% usage and that's living in a fairly energy efficient house with low energy lightbulbs wherever possible so it's not like my bills were even that high in the first place

i dunno he says the bill is now £300 whereas before it was £150 i have no idea to be honest, x1900xt uses a lot of power to when running, depends on your machines i guess, 2 x x2's , celeron, x1900xt, x1800xt , everything overclocked, add 10 hard drives, 4 dvd writers, etc, etc, 32 inch hdtv, 5.1 speakers it all adds up

well I guess if a lot of that is new or just wasn't running anything like as much before then it's possible - shame though :(

edit: I don't suppose the recent extortionate rises in energy prices could have quite a bit to do with it also?

Maybe you should use the 1 brain cell that you have before posting, my mum is disabled due to the coma she was in for 6 months and the reason she was in that coma was meningitus which has also left her brain damaged
