How do you use split screen on an iphone ?

Being a new iphone user am struck on how to use split screen on my new iphone

On my ipad it easy as you just press the three dots at the top of the screen.
But these dots are not showing on my iphone :confused:

You can’t split screen on an iPhone using 2 apps.

iPad iOS is different to iPhone iOS so that’s probably why.

Why on earth would you want to do that on an iPhone? Having 2 ~35mm pages side by side would be awful. You wouldn’t be able to see anything. Just swipe right to left at the bottom way easier and better.

The only time you can have multiple stuff is when you’ve got a video overlap.

Just had a quick search of the App Store and there looks to be some available so I have to try some later after work

He’s not wrong through, it would be a crap experience. A PIP is already bad enough on an iPhone.

Some apps like Twitch allow video on top, but weirdly not YouTube.

So you can watch whilst browsing.

Really? with twitch I just swipe up and it turns into it's own window, with YouTube it just goes into the Island...

I just swipe up on the YouTube app as though I’m closing it and it appears.

I do have YouTube premium.

Just checked and working here also following these steps :

Youtube App > Main Page Profile Pic/Name top right > Settings > General > Picture in Picture toggle on.

then

iOS Settings > General > Picture in Picture > Start PiP Automatically toggle on.

Oh, it was the YouTube app settings that didn’t turn on.
