Hi,
I recently bought an R9 390, and I'm confused on how TrueAudio works. I have Astro A40's for a headset, which connect via an optical cable to the rear of my motherboard, as well as a usb for power and skype calling. However, from what im guessing and what i've read online, AMD TrueAudio is used for the sound coming out of the HDMI on the GPU to my monitor, which is in no way connected to my A40 Mixamp. Does this mean I'm not getting the benefit of the technology?
Cheers.

AFAIK TrueAudio sends its processed sound back to whatever is the selected primary audio device in Windows but very little is actually programmed to use it and last time I looked there was no way to make it work as a generic DSP.
