How Does My GPU Compare ?

Using an Armor RX580 on CSGO ( which I get about 250fps on ) Forza 4, Project Cars 2 and ocasionally Destiny 2 all at 1080p resolution. All play quickly and smoothly



How does my GPU compare with similarly priced modern GPUs ?

You only need to change a GPU if it doesn't play well on a new game ( for example ) ?

Is a 500w PSU good enough for most GPUs ? I have a Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 500W 80 Plus

The PSU should be fine with most cards at the lower end of the budget but when you start going upto 5700XT and Nvidia 20 series for example I'd consider getting a bit more power as its best to be safe than sorry, I know the 5700XT can be a power hungry card at times

I wouldn't be able to replace a PSU as it would be a pain having to route the cables and plug them into the according slot on the mobo

It's not possible to replace a PSU without having to disconnect the cables from the mobo is it ?

It's a pain but if it needs to be done then so be it I enjoy it as i have abit of OCD with cables

Got an RX580 and a Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 500W 80 Plus which have worked fine for months, but someone told me the PSU isn't good enough and is dangerous, is this true ?

I've had that PSU in my build before paired with an RX470 and all was fine no issues or crashes etc I don't think the RX580 is that power hungry to worry about the 500w PSU

Ok thanks I was worrying as some people say it's a poor PSU but I have had no problems at all so far

I know a lad with a corsair cx430 psu running a rx470 no problems.
The power needs of a system is a black hole of misinformation. The 500w psu you have is fine. What cpu are you running

Its not the wattage that is in question, it's the build quality which according to someone on another forum is poor
