How does second hand Warranty work with EVGA?

In my experience with EVGA they will not provide any assistance whatsoever without seeing the original shop purchase invoice.
In my case a couple of years ago EVGA cards has a problem with overheating and they put a new bios on their website. I bricked my card trying to flash the bios. Apparently there was a special bios to use when a nvidia card was used with AMD motherboards. They said they couldnt help me without the original shop invoice. Once I emailed it to them, they emailed the correct bios within 24 hours
