How does the Antec H20 rad work?

I bought this recently but have yet to install it. I notice that the fins on the rad are very thin... does the water pass through the fins or just along the long strips between the fins? I'm a bit worried as the fins seem very fragile and look like they can bend easily!

Cheers

yup only the long straight thicker "cores" of the Rad carry the collant the fins just take heat from the Cores and dispurse the heat into the air, you could take all the fins of but it would not cool as well. dont worry about bent fins

Cheers guys! One more question, I promise:) I have a lanboy case that states that the fans should all blow inward but the antec h20 states the fan should blow outward! What should I do? I guess I could put another fan on the cooler blowing inwards? So one blowing warm air out and one blowing in??

It doesn't really matter which way you put it, if you have more in than out normally then make it push air out, keeps it balanced.

Thanks all. I've placed the rad in my case with the hoses facing upward (i.e at tue top of rad). The reason for this is that this is the only place the hoses would fit due to my smaller case and giant sized GPU. I'm guessing the orientation is ok?

yes it is you can install either way how ever i installed it the other way so that the air does not go round the system as they are not completely air free how ever its no issue. yours will be fine as is

Ok so I got my RMA'd overclocked 2600k back and installed the Antec H2O 620. Under prime 95 full load temps reach 77c. I think this is a bit high? Is there something I am doing wrong?

Edit: Do I have the fan blowing into the rad or away from it??

For the coolest temperatures I would have the fan blowing in to the rad from outside the case.

Orient the fan like this.

Case>Fan>Rad

Air blowing in from the outside :)

What is your clockspeed and voltage?
