How does this laptop spec look for the price?

Hi All, seen this second hand and was wondering if it would be ok for hi-def video editing
  • 2.40ghz CPU (Core 2 Duo)
    [*]4 GIG DDR 667MHZ
    [*]400 GB Hard Drive
    [*] Vista Premium Edition
    [*] Built in Wireless
  • GeForce 8600M 256Mb Video Card

Looks decent, and the cpu is a good speed, have you looked at the dell vostros? you might get a similar spec for cheaper.

Ram is most important with video editing, vista takes quite a bit more to run than XP. However 4GB should be well enough.

Also the speed of the HD will play a role here, try and get a 7200rpm drive in it, it wont make a big difference to video editing so that isnt essential.
