How does this look for a first time build?

Dont really have a budget, although I dont want to go crazy!

Mainly used for gaming, I want to go for a SLI configuration over 1 card as I think it looks better in the case.

Likewise with the ram, I've decided to go for 4x4GB over 2x8GB because I think it'll look better.

With that said, I am very new to building a rig, this will be my first one.
Anything you'd change?

Already have a case, a Corsair C70

Thank you

cheers guys, I'll add the EVO SSD and retail CPU to my build.

How it looks its nearly as important to me as performance. I am slightly OCD so it has to look good :D

Not planning to overclock just yet, though I definately want the capability down the line (dont wanna run before I can walk!)

The fans are to replace the stock fans, like I said, OCD so they all have to match!

2 x intake behind front cover, 2 x intake on HDD cages, 1 x exhaust at top of case (BeQuiet! fans)

2 x SP120's for the H100i

Thanks, was a great window shopping moment.

@OP - Budget?

There isnt one really, I'll be buying the bits on a weekly basis, but ideally 2k for the components, or there abouts.

Going to go for a triple monitor set up, but I havent done any research into that yet, want to get my rig built first :)

thanks for your input, that is a very nice spec, however the colours just dont go! lol

The colours/look were the reason I selected my original components in the first place, would my origial post, but with the PRO SSD and retail CPU be a good gaming rig?

It might not be the best, but looks are important too :)

Going to do some research into GPU's and decide if I should stick with SLI or go for one card (which I think I might do)

hi all, just thought I'd update this thread as my rig is nearly finished now.

Still need a GPU (EVGA GTX 780 Classified) and a monitor (changed my mind about triple monitors, going for 1 x 27" 1440p now)

haven't done any cable management yet, but heres where I am at the minute;

Intel Core i7 4770k (not overclocked yet)
16GB Dominator Platinum 1866MHz
Sabertooth Z87 Mobo
H100i CPU cooler
250GB SSD
2TB HDD
Windows 8.1 Pro

Razer Mamba mouse
Ducky Shine III keyboard
Razer Goliathus Extended mouse mat

Wow, lots of fans... Niiiice

Any reason for 1440p over say a 120/144hz gaming monitor?

I went from a 1200p to a 144hz and i much prefer the 144hz... you mentioned about wanting a triple monitor, how about dual? 144hz and a nice 1080/1200p monitor? one for games n one for everything else?

Uses are going to be gaming and a little photo editing/watching movies. I dont think I'm going to do so much gaming that having the faster refresh rate will benefit me over the higher pixel count/better colour reproduction.

I could look into 2 monitors, I'll see how I get on with a 1440p @ 60Hz first though.

Not interested in those monitors that cannot be discussed :D

They do look pretty tho :p

yep, only reason I got them lol
