Thinking of upgrading the rig in sig, its not needed but a want as I'd like to move to a newer platform.

Looking at the following, ignore the watercooling parts as I have bits in my current rig to use etc

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM £161.99
1 x Xigmatek Elysium Full Tower Windowed Case - Black £139.99
1 x Corsair HX 750W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-750HXUK) £124.98
1 x Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-GEN3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £109.98
1 x XSPC EX360 120mm Radiator - Black £49.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Genesis 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3K4/8GX) £37.99
6 x EK-PSC Adapter Rotary 90° G1/4 Nickel £3.59 (£21.54)
6 x EK-PSC Adapter Rotary 45° G1/4 Nickel £3.59 (£21.54)
12 x OcUK 1/2" G1/4 - FatBoy Style - Shiny Silver - Barb Fitting £1.68 (£20.16)
Total : £705.84 (includes shipping : £14.75).

Both fair points tbh. Wasn't bothered abiu HSF etc but put that way would be stupid not too.

Completely forgot about XFX PSUs. Means I get a bigger unit for the same price as the 650 i originally specd before the 750, are Seasonic the OEM for XFX?

Will need to change the ram looking back. I've chose a 4x2gb kit instead of 2x4gb. What's the Crucial Ballistics Sport like?

Yes they are.

RAM timings are a little slow at 10-10-10 etc.

RAM timings is suppose to not affect Sandybridge, but I cant help thinking its a step backwards.

Because you are watercooling you can use these also (matches the motherboard colour) - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-300-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517

What would you recommend instead. Could always stick with what I have as its low voltage ocz platinum but it seems silly not upgrading to 8gb with prices the way they are. I remember paying £85 for 4gb of veil value 1333mhz 18 months ago.

Just looked at those. Swaying more towards XMS3 as I'm not a fan of big heat spreaders.

Time to think this over now and decide if I can afford to drop this much just to scratch an itch.

The XFX PSU saves enough money for one of those 2X4GB kits and the Retail CPU:)
