Hi all....Not been in this forum for ages!

Anyway, I have decided I need a bit of a reshuffle in my rig. Atm, I have 2 64gb SSDs, and 2 1tb HDDs. One SSD is for the OS, and one is for the current new game I am playing. The two HDDs are for media and games.

I am looking to streamline a bit by getting rid of all of my current drives, and doing a fresh install of windows ready for some upcoming games, and this is what I am looking at:

Good value? Worth it in your opinion?

Cheers

That's good value.

The WD Green is a slower RPM than say the Barracuda if you care.

Thank you Stulid. Not particularly bothered tbh.

Be nice to just clear things up a bit...Go from running out of space with 4 drives, to having plenty to spare for years to come with just two!

Right, so my 2 new drives arrived, old drives removed, Haribo eaten, new drives installed. All fine...Except it seems I messed it up a bit by having both drives connected when installing Windows. It isn't something I was familiar with, but apparently because windows 7 can't access more than 2tb of space on a drive you have to format it in to GPT(Know idea what I'm talking about!), but my Windows installation has placed the system reserve files on there and it now can't be formatted!

I know I now have to reinstall Windows again(no biggie, as I hadn't really got far anyway...not as if I have loads to backup!), but I just wondered if there was any sneaky way to get round this?

Cheers.

Unplug the HDD when installing and only have your OS drive plugged in, then after installation is complete plug the secondary HDD back in

Yeah, cheers. I know that now, I just wondered if there was some neat little trick I could do without having to reinstall!

Have you tried disconnecting the WD and trying a windows repair on the ssd. It's a while since I used Win7, if not, just do a fresh install.
