What screen do you use?

What PSU do you have?

Screen just a samsung 24" monitor 1080p and VR rift / odyssey
PSU : Supernova 850G2 gold

I'm out of the loop when it comes to VR but do you need a 1080Ti for 1080p?

Not heard of that make of PSU before so can't comment.

Nope as i already asked peps said 1070 would be enough , but i will at some stage get a better monitor

I'm also thinking on getting an M2 hard drive as my current SSD is like 250gb and is 3-4 year old tech , i think its an 840 evo
Is this a good choice ( i want about 500gb ) for the above set up / motherboard ? i plan to use this as my main O/S and games drive

If you want NVMe then no need for the Pro version.

The PRO has slightly better endurance (600TBW vs 300TBW for the 500GB) and is a bit faster, but for a general gaming/desktop pc you won't really notice the difference.

Ahhh thannks i see then , so the pro will last longer , but more than likely be outdated from a tech point of view

Decent bundle

i did look at this bundle earlier , but was concerned as it was the older X370 chipset , would this be an issue ??

Not a huge amount of difference between X370 and X470. Not sure if that Asus board has bios update via usb as the X370 chipset doesn't natively support the R7 2700/X out of the box. I would check with ocuk to see if it has an up to date bios version. As it is a bundle then it should be fine, but maybe worth asking.

R7 1700/X and R7 1800X work with X370 out of the box.
R7 2700/X work with X470 out of the box.
