Hi
My parent's have asked me to look at getting them a laptop for general use, with an upper budget of £500.
How does this look for that sort of price? (it's one they've seen and given the price include a 3 year warranty my initial thought is it isn't bad).
I've no idea about laptop CPU's etc, but it does need a reasonable size screen (neither of them have great eyesight).
Intel® Celeron® Ultra-Low-Voltage processor
4 GB memory1
320 GB S-ATA hard disk
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4530 DirectX® 10 graphics

Power saving and super efficient processor
Intel® Celeron® Ultra-Low-Voltage processor SU2300 for longer battery life! (1.2 GHz, 1 MB L2 cache, FSB 800 MHz) - This looks to be a Duel Core Celeron
Brilliant graphics
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4530 DirectX® 10 graphics with 512 MB GDDR2 memory and digital HDMI audio/video output
High Definition Audio
with 2 loudspeakers – Dolby® Advanced Audio™ certified

Massive storage space
320 GB S-ATA hard disk – For more than 60,000 songs or photos3
Huge memory
4 GB DDR2 SDRAM1
Multi card reader (SD & MMC)

Latest Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11 n-standard technology
with up to 300 Mbit/s. 802.11 b/g compatible
Network controller
Gigabit LAN 10/100/1000 Mbit/s. on board
Huge software package (OEM versions) with Windows® 7 Home Premium
Connections
3 x USB 2.0, 1 x eSATA, 1 x VGA out, 1 x HDMI out, 1 x LAN (RJ45), 1 x microphone5, 1 x line out
