Asus Xonar D1 7.1 PCI Sound Card

*OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz @ 3.60GHz / Asus P7P55D Intel P55 Motherboard / Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-12800C9 1600MHz DDR3 Bundle

Intel X25-M Mainstream 80GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive

Its going in a Windows 7 system (not sure if I should put the 64 bit one on or the 32 bit)

I already use a samsung spinpoint F3 and an 8800gt 512mb sound card.

I just ran super pi on the rig and its showing 43s to run a 1m test. I saw the reviews on here that people can get it to under 10s with this overclocked bundle.

Ideally id get the slightly more expensive setup but the problem is that I only have a 90mm fan on the exhaust for the case and so getting the corsair H50 isnt really a good idea for me.

So main questions, am I going to notice a BIG improvement and is this system going to run normal(ish) temps or cook like a frying pan and make lots of noise?

oh and the proc is a 4400x2 on an asus a8n-sli board, with 2gb of some ram that I dont remember the name of.

just thought id add that information.

Oh and the upgrade looks fine too, that bundle with the 8800gt should play most games well, but if you have the money you could get a new GPU, maybe instead of the SSD?

Since your X2 4400 is a socket 939 processor it will worth between £50 to £90 on a certain auction site including postage.

yeah I tried to way up if I was more keen on the horsepower or the graphics and I couldnt quite decide fully.

Perhaps when some games come out that will work the 8800gt too hard at 1920x1200 I would upgrade it but I cant quite justify it at the moment. Its already coming to over £700 for this upgrade which is already too much but it just looks like the ideal path (and I really want to see how good this new SSD craze is!)
