Time to ditch my AMD 965 C3, good system but want 4Ghz! So Sandy Bridge it is.

So before i hit the order button, will all this work ok? Or anything else i should give thought too?

No intention of ever going dual graphics card hence the choice in MB, only concern is the RAM, will it work on that board.

Thanks

Yep, good quality RAM that, though IMO you don't really need to upgrade n should save your money but it's your cash

Thanks for comment on the RAM, was a bit unsure if it was decent. Main reason i am upgrading is that my CPU seems to be the limiting factor in a few games. I have it overclocked to 3.8Ghz and that its all i can get out of it without crazy volts!
Used to do a lot of flight simming and my AMD chip just does not seem to like FSX at all, so hopefully a 2500k over 4Ghz will finally do it justice!

Early reports of SB and fsx are quite promising, not heard much about i7 2600k and if hyperthreading is worth the extra. Remember fsx is a 32 bit application so can't use more than 4GB RAM. But at its current price its quite difficult to say no. What gpu is going into this setup?

just upgraded last month from a 4890 to GTX570, brilliant upgrade, there is not a lot that makes it sweat! However my CPU is now the weakest link for FSX
