How does this website work?

Hi,

I have found a pretty nice implementation of custom fonts being useable in browser without Flash

http://www.underware.nl/fonts/unibody/try

What I cannot figure out is how it actually works? Does anyone know what they have actually built upon to achieve this?

I see lots of Jquery bits in the source but it seems to relate to the UI more than the actual window that scales.

If you want to complimentary custom fonts in a website why not just use Google Fonts?

Looks like they are using @font-face to embed the font on the page.

They're using typekit.

they sure are using typekit...but there are several font library's around. use the @font-face method and you too can do it...

http://www.fontsquirrel.com/ is excellent for royalty free fonts, it even has a generator that can generate your css code to work across browsers.
