Sapphire SL DVI - displayport adaptor.

How exactly does this thing work?
I don't see any USB cable, i thought it needed that to power an active adaptor?

Also, aren't the displayports on the ati cards mini displayports, how does this work?
What's the difference between SL DVI and DL DVI, will I notice any diffferent, do I need another cable?

Want to do an eyefinity setup when the new 69xx series come out, but I'm confused as hell.

Hello.

Quick search told be this: Single link DVI is able to transfer 1920 x 1080 resolution vs dual link 2048 x 1536.
From what I can tell you don't need a USB cable, just plug it in and away you go.

Unless your monitor is higher than 1920x1080, you won't see a difference. The 5xxx series use normal displayport, not mini. I too am waiting for the 69xx cards, hopefully Sapphire will make one for mini DP.
