how does this work

Hello,

My question is how does this work?. do you simply plug it in your pc?.

Akasa Duo Dock 2S USB 3.0 for 2.5" and 3.5" SATA and SSD drives.

I want to use this with it OCZ Vertex 2E 60GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive (OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G).

my other question is, will it be bit slower rather then fitting it into your PC?.

It's USB3 which is faster than the SSD so should be pretty much as fast as connecting directly via SATA. You will of course need a mobo that supports USB3 or it'll run at USB2 speeds - 10 times slower. If you have no USB3 you'd be better off connecting the SSD to SATA/eSATA.
