Gtx 670
800w modular psu

Thats just the main parts the build will be used for high end gaming/Rendering.

why use the 2500k when the 3570k can be had for very little more?
800w psu is overkill (unless you want to sli)
get a bigger ssd instead of 16gb ram lol 8gb ram will do fine
what's your budget?

the 2500k is the best cpu for gaming? and getting 16gb as its on offer :P And will be using that ssd for windows i have a spare 1 in my other system i can use

hotter does not mean it uses more power. the tim between the ihs is lousy in the 3570k, that's why the cores run hotter, which stops it clocking faster than a 2500k (and ofc due to the new tri-gate process too)

i5 3570k > i5 2500k
Newer technology, better performance clock to clock and just generally better. Especially as you are getting a Z77 motherboard, you should get the i5 3570k over the i5 2500k.

Again, get the 3570k..it isn't all about the max clock speed you can get it to, you know?

Drop the RAM to 8GB and get some with faster speeds if you really want great RAM. More than 8GB right now isn't worthwhile for gaming and wont help you at all.

New batch of Sandys overclock pretty poorly anyway. 8gb 1600mhz RAM is more than enough for gaming, any more/faster and it won't make a difference to your gaming performance. Could also drop the PSU to a 600w one if you're not planning SLi.

If u didint read as i said 16gb as its on offer would cost the same as just 8 gb so why not? also stated that i have a spare ssd that i will be using also using 800w for the future will want to use sli within the next couple months i would rather use the 2500k as its a bit cheaper also not that mega diffrence to be seen

Well in the end it's your choice, and we're just here to give advice. The i5 3570k isn't too much of a price difference and is definitely the better choice.

Cheapest 16gb kit I see on OcUK is ~£95. Cheapest 8gb kit is ~£35... what a price difference...

Also, what PSU model is it?
