How dose this new build sound?

Same here, took 3 weeks for a replacement and the replacement was noisy still, just without a ticking noise, but do realise that these are very well priced and xfx don't make the fans. I won't talk about OCUK.....ok, i will, I called them and told them about the second unit being loud, and the guy talked to me like i'm daft or something and never offered a replacement.

xxx edition should be better as they have a quieter fan installed.

the Corsairs are priced higher, so i'd say risk it with an xfx xxx and use DSR if it's faulty, DON'T be fobbed off with a replacement

+ go with the 3570k, why are you asking advice and then not accepting it for he sake of <£10 ?

what's the point of asking what the forum thinks and not listening to advise on what can be made better?

I'm glad you're finally listening to reason The 3570k is a lot better that the sandy-bridge, and definitely worth the tiny bit extra for it.

The mobo is great for the Ivy-bridge too, so that wouldn't need changing to get the full use out of it. All in all it would be a good machine
