How doy uo tell the 360 to wait halt the downloads?

Without cancelling them? I'm on virgin so i have download limits between 4 and 12, the xbox just charges through the downloads with no regard for my connection
Sounds like you want to "Pause" them sort of like you do on p2p clients/download managers etc.
You can;t on 360 last time I checked. Once you stop it it disappears from *** active downloads section. You have to navigate to the item again through the marketplace and select to download again and it will resume you download (as it will find the partial download still on your machine). Bit long winded tbh, and it wouldn't surprise me if there is a really obvious way to do this that we are both missing!!

thats a shame, a simple pause button would be nice
I take it that the 360 has no way to manage its bandwidth usage either right? it just eats up all the connection it can get?

Just set all your downloads before you go to bed, turn the xbox off and let them download in low power mode. It will switch off when it's finished.
yeah i'll have to resort to that, shame there is no control
