How easy is it to wire up a second sky box to an existing dish?

Seems a good thread to hijack..

If someone already has sky multiroom with two sky boxes, can you add a third at no cost?

On my Sky dish the LNB just slots into the arm of the dish.

I am led to believe that there are a couple of different arm sizes though.

Satcure has a lot of usefull info.

Has anyone got any experience swapping a single LNB for a quad version and is it a simple task?

Pretty much... just disconnect the old LNB, pull the old LNB holder out of the arm on the dish, fit the new one (it might need tapping in), attach the new LNB, connect up, and away you go.

Try not to drag the dish out of alignment, or you'll have to line it back up again.

You will need to pay out an extra £10 for another multiroom subscription. As that is what I had to do when i added another sky box.

I replaced my standard LNB with an OCTLNB, was very straightforward, old one slid off (held with plastic pin which you remove first), slide on new LNB, reinsert pin and connect up your cables.
