Picked up a E6300 and a Gigabyte DS3 motherboard. Then I found out that the DS3 has no memory dividers below 1:1. So the memory I ordered - G.Skill DDR2 LA PC2-5400 is going to seriously limit my overclocks to 2.3GHz which is nice but I would like a bit more.
So I really need to run the memory at DDR2 800 levels to give me a chance of getting to 2.8GHz. What are the chances of me being able to get to these speeds by upping the memory voltage?
