heres my system ........

I have had some experimenting with it but for some reason i cant get it up to 2.1ghz..... the max i get is 2070 and the multiplyer only goes to 9 =S .... from the reviews i read from this board when i bought it a year ago it was one of the most overclockable......just woundering wether i can push it further at all ????
and i have a stock cooler.....

Abit Av8 3rd Eye/ AMD 64 3000 1.8ghz / 1GB DDR pc3200 / XFX GForce 5700 128mb / Colours ATX-**011 Silver B3 / 160gb maxtor plus 10

Board is ok, nothing amazing.
Set the HTT to 4x, the multi is 9x because they are only able to be lowered. Set the ram to 333.
What PSU do you have?
Also, lock the AGP at 66mhz and the pci at 33mhz

lock the ram to 200fsb otherwise you wasted money on 3200 ram may as well of baught 2700
bought* and dont be daft :)

Set the ram to 333mhz (5/6 ratio)

Then when you increase the FSB to say 240 the ram will increase at the same ratio. i.e. 5/6 of 240 (which is 200) so the ram will be running at it's default speed and the cpu will be running at 2160mhz

your beeing daft for telling him to set his ram to 333 when its 400mhz

now if you said a divider.... :)

Most boards cant lock the ram at a certain speed, and use the speed of the ram as a devider. Everyone i have used does anyway.
So 333 is a 5/6, 266 is 2/3 and 200 is 1/2.

By setting the ram at 400mhz, a 1/1 ratio like it probably is now it will increase with the FSB limiting the overclock unless it is TCCD or BH5 witha lot of volts
