How far does everyone commute to work?

60 miles... but i dont drive any more, i get a train to stoke, stay there for as long as i work (this week its 7 nights) then go home on my days off....

...means i see the missus around 8 nights a month, if that...

... also means i get to go on my computer about the same....

.... not sure which one upsets me the most :P

6 mile cycle each way. So 60 mile a week. Otherwise it would be two buses and I hate waiting for buses and also just missing them, not getting a seat, having a random on there which means you can't relax. And even if i get discounted fare still costs me a minimum of £50 a month.

Approximately 2,350 miles as the crow flies from South Shields to Egypt :D

Having said that, I only do that once and then stay for a month and then the same back and stay for a month - rinse and repeat. Once I'm on the rig, about 50 metres.

50 mile drive to get to work, takes an hour on average and I normally do an 8-4 to avoid rush hour both ways - Friday is a home office day which breaks up the monotony of motorway driving and gives me a nice lie-in.

Up until very recently, it was a 15 mile commute, with a stretch of M5 (Jct 5 - 4) and would take me around 20 or so minutes. At least once a week this would be doubled on a single journey thanks to M5 traffic.

Found a new job closer to home, now a 9 mile commute with no motorway (although I use the M5 Junction 6 roundabout). Loads of twisties for the Clio 200 to have fun with. Commute takes around 15 minutes now, but far less miles are being put on the car (even if they are harder miles).

I enjoy driving, so the commuting distance is just about right for me.

Dad is a self employed courier. Commute is 20 feet from the house :D
