How far does everyone commute to work?

I'm amazed at the people doing 2.5+ hrs to travel 20 miles. That's crazy!

I do 35miles in 90mins & 3 trains, each way. If I drive it takes me about an hour.
How do you manage it?! I find my commute long and I only get to see my daughter fpr about 30mins each weekday, and not at all if I stay in the office past 5:30.

Train/train there and train/train/tram home, takes about 1 hour 20.

I think as the crow flies it's about 12.5 miles but there is no direct route there and if I were to drive it goes through 3-4 major traffic pinch points. Took me 2.75 hours last time I drove

I'm the opposite, kind of.

30 mile commute each way. 45 mins by car, or 2.75 hours by public transport/walking to/from public transport at either end.

So I drive.

17 KM or 1.13 hours I can do in 15-20 minutes at the weekend. :(
I used to work 13 KM away and could get in in 45 mins and home in under 10.

It's tough.

I get paid for my mileage - the train would take me longer to get the work, plus having to change twice. At least when i drive I have some flexibility. It's only 20 miles as the crow flies, but of course it's never that easy when you drive. I'm used to spending 3hrs+ in the car just to get to and from work.

Fortunately, I've got myself a new job, and my commute will be 25 mins instead - so much better. I'm looking forward to not wasting 15+hrs a week travelling to and from work.

12 miles.
Town - Motorway - Town
Takes about 20-25 mins maybe longer if the motorway is congested.. which it usually is, and that's on a motorbike, twice as long in a car, I could not bear to go back to commuting in a car, would rather get the train.

10 Mins to M23, straight onto M25, 2 junctions and then 10mins to office.

If there is no traffic it takes 25-30mins in total, but the M25 is often awful and it has taken me 2 hours to get home before

About 35 miles, door to door. Takes about 50 mins with the biggest proportion of time per distance travelled being the bit through Cambridge...

43.3 miles each way if i'm working in NUL takes about 1hr in the morning 75 mins at night, M6 Permitting, 35 miles each way if i'm in Cleck, 55 mins in the morning, 45 mins at night, if the M62 is behaving itself (not likely).
