How far to overclock my CPU to complement my X1900XT?

Hi Guys,

Might be a silly question (no doubt Im expecting answers saying 'as far as possible') but Ive just got a X1900XT (from a X850XT PE) and wanted to know how far I need to o/c my 3000+ Winnie to get the most out of the card.

Ive not o/ced it at all really since I didnt see it as a weak link with my old card, but I know the X1900XT is another thing. Ill probably o/c my XT to XTX levels if possible...

A while back I went from a winne 3200+ that wouldn’t overclock for ***p to an opteron 146 that went to 3.2ghz. Throughout I ran my old faithful X850XT PE and with the opteron it felt like a different system with regards to gaming at high resolutions. Having the extra 1+ghz and extra cache really helped, and that was just with my old PE. With my new XTX I feel even my 3ghz opty dual core is holding my system back, not much, just enough to want to go core2
