How far will an E2180 go on air?

I have an E2180 with 3 60mm fans and 1 120mm fan. How far do you think it will go?

Oh and its with a stock HSF

Other specs:

Asus P5K-VM
OCZ 2GB
ATI 3850
Corsair 520 HX
400GB HDD

Should be looking at atleast 3.2ghz unless you're using the stock cooler.

You might get it to 3Ghz out of it

Nope, TT lanbox, came with 2 60mm and 1 120mm but I've added an extra 60mm.

Would it worth investing in a Zalman or Artic Freezer HSF to keep things cool?

Try it with your current cooler. But you may have to go for something like the AC Freezer.

mine posts at 3.95, boots at 3.7, is stable at 3.4, but it's too hot, so I use 3.2

I got mine too 3.0ghz with ACF7 , havent been able to get it passed that. ive just switched over to water and havent tried again
