How far would you travel for a new car?

If it was the right one, probably anywhere within the UK.

Same here. You could be looking forever if you're restricting yourself to local cars only.

I bought my MR2 from Grimsby, that's a fair hike from Bristol.

I went to Doncaster from Eastbourne for a £350 (albeit very rare) car a while back so I'd agree with 'anywhere in the UK' for the right car.

Anywhere in the UK, went from newbury to newcastle to look at a golf for my gf, didnt even get it in the end.

Newcastle to Dundee (approx 170 miles each way).

Once to view/test drive, and once to pick up the car.

Reckon I saved between £1500 and £2000 so it was worth it.

I would go anywhere in the UK myself. I quite like the drive though.

My Dad is the opposite and will just look within the local area which I think is daft!

depends on how "special" you feel the car is to you or how rare. i personally would keep it local. within 50miles radius perhaps.

That my problem I would hapily shoot up the country but obviously I need someone to drive my old car back when I get to the new car. So need my dad with me. But he doesn't want to go past around 50 miles :(

Depends what it is. My Audi was ~5 miles away but I'm prepared to travel hundreds for the upcoming Lotus, if it's the right spec and price.

"Despite being the most expensive MR2 I'd seen and the fact that it was located 250 miles away I just had to go and view it.The 4 hour drive to Grimsby wasn't fun but when I saw the car it was all worth it."

8 hours driving, nasty

Yep, Grimsby isn't exactly a fun drive from Bristol but it was definitely worth it :)

I went from Southampton from Bracknell, which isn't that far, but was willing to go anywhere for the right car!
