It's actually fairly difficult because it's not really a very natural thing to type. I find it easier to type actual words.

A guy at my school has had it in 2.09 before.

I remember playing something v similar in javascript in about 2004. After a while you have no idea exactly what letter you're typing, just the muscle memory kicks in . Obviously still have some muscle recollection, down to 3.136 after about 10 goes.
