How fast is your internet?!

How much is that Hyperoptic?

I'm on the Hyperoptic 100mb/100mb which is £35pm. The 1gig/1gb is £60 and the 20mb/1mb is £22.50.
Add £2.50 to each if you want phoneline too. But that is VOIP, so if you lose power, no phone.

I think each building/block they put it into is different, but we didnt have any setup or install charges, and got 6mths free.

1ms ping is impressive, not many have fibre to the door?
I'd be fine with the very 'slowest' package if the quality was the same, switching from 56k modem I was just happy to get dsl latency and they gave us 128k :o

Yeah we were lucky, the building is only 3 years old and during development they installed fibre optic cable to each flat from a cabinet in the basement. In those 3 years BT/Virgin never wanted to go near us, despite it being 400 odd flats. Their loss..

The standard old Virgin media. Wouldn't mind a little more upload for them but honestly .. being in a random little village, lucky to have them at all.

Still amazes me that a few torrents can nearly max out 100mb internet. 10 years of waiting but finally the 'real' internet is here!

Unfortunately for me, the download speed is limited by the Powerline adaptor in the lounge, was on the 50mb service with Virgin (so it has always been fine), but have been upgraded to the 100mb so i now need to change my Powerline adaptors or lay CAT5 to take advantage of the extra speed im now getting.
