How Fix Tap? Handle Getting Really Tight To Move

I tried to get the cartridge out but can't:

That round curved part surrounding the cartridge... it won't come off without breaking it.

Not even sure if it's made to come off? Anyone got ideas?

How old is the tap? I'd be tempted to just replace it unless I knew I could definitely get the correct cartridge

I installed it 2017 but it still looks fresh. Do you know if these curved bits can be bought? It's a Screwfix tap.

Says 10 year warranty but not sure I can find the receipt.

The Allen nut I think I put there so as not to lose it... it was holding something in.

Yes that's the video I watched and followed when I tried it but it just wouldn't undo.

I went Screwfix today and they gave me a new tap

Thats good of Screwfix - all you need to do now is undo the pipes underneath and big ring nut holding it on to sink - your worst nightmare isn't over yet.
I would be tempted to put a bit of heat on that ring and see if it comes off -if so just use bit's from new one.

I installed the original so should be fine. I could try remove it, funnily enough Screwfix want the old tap back but just said drop it off anytime.
